Victory In Retaliation Case Against Federal Express

On January 31, 2008, after a four-day jury trial in federal court, we obtained a unanimous verdict in favor of a former employee (Derosher Price) of Federal Express Corporation who was retaliated against after he complained about race discrmination and filed a lawsuit against the company.  The jury found in Mr. Price's favor on all three of his claims (two failure-to-promote claims and a termination claim) and awarded actual and punitive damages.  A judgment was later entered that included an award of attorney's fees, interest and court costs, but significantly reduced the punitive damages award.  The case is currently on appeal.  Read the article that appeared in the Houston Chronicle here.  (Note: Every case is different and past results are not necessarily an indication of future success, even in cases with similar facts).
