Judge Authorizes Notice to Cici’s Pizza Managers in Overtime Case

On July 2, 2008, a federal judge authorized notice be sent to current and former managers of Cici’s Pizza restaurants to provide them the opportunity to join a lawsuit in which the plaintiff alleges managers-in-training were worked in excess of 40 hours per week during the management training period but not paid time and one-half overtime as the plaintiff alleges the Fair Labor Standards Act required.  The case is styled, G. Steven Fuqua v. Marwin Management, L.L.C., et al; Civil Action No. H-08-00231 and is curently pending in the United States District Court for the Soutern District of Texas, Houston Division.  G. Scott Fiddler represents Mr. Fuqua and other plaintiffs in the case.
